Sometimes you have to look back and see where you've been in order to truly appreciate where you are. I did a little "looking back" this week, thumbing through old journals, page by painful page. A prayer I wrote during a dreadfully bleak season reminded me of how faithful God has been. The prayer was one sentence: "Lord, my world is changing, but you stay the same."Truth is, nothing is secure in life these days. Not jobs. Not friendships. Not finances. Not family. Not mortgages. Not marriages. Indeed, life is one big pile of shifting sand. But God... God remains the same. Day, after day and year, after year, we can place our trust in Him, knowing the Rock beneath us will not move. ♦
"He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber." Psalm 121:3
