Note Card Party - Children

I'm joining Vee's Note Card Party for the first time. I love the idea, and who doesn't love great photographs?

The four pics I'm choosing were taken by me in my younger days when I photographed children in my spare time. Of course, my daughter was my main "model" and she was (and still is) a natural in front of a camera. Child Photography can be challenging, but the rewards are always great. Enjoy!

This picture is of my Leslie, who is now expecting my first grandchild. Sigh.
I snapped this in the backyard of my parents' home in Mississippi.

This beauty is my niece, who is just as beautiful today.

This handsome fellow is the oldest son of my former sister- and brother-in-law.

This gorgeous little guy is the son of friends.

  5. Thank you for your lovely comment that you wrote on my blog. I am your newest follower and I love your note card photographs. Such beautiful, innocent, sweet little faces. Oh how I wish I could get those years back when my kids were that age. The years go by so fast but we all have those photographs to fall back on when we miss them and those precious childhood memories.

  6. P.S. I forgot to mention your passion for music as a songwriter of gospel music. My daughter is also a singer/songwriter and has sung many gospel songs throughout her career and just finished recording an album of gospel music with her church choir that was just recently released in Nashville.

    1. Awesome. I did the singing/writing/traveling thing for a number of years, which resulted in some of my fondest memories. I'll visit your blog when I have time and learn more about her.

  15. ADORABLE!!! Oh, how I love children. Since I've seen two of these (girls) all grown up, it makes it yet sweeter.

I hope you frame a picture of your daughter with her baby doll next to one of her with her baby when the wonderful time arrives.

Aren't you getting sooooo excited? I can't wait to see if we have a new generation of gorgeous cheekbones, which I know come straight from your mom.

    1. Debbie, Leslie has already requested the picture you suggested. :-) Two great minds... And yes, I'm getting excited. I know it won't be easy for my daughter, but I'm trying to live one day at a time.
