Simple Pleasure Thursday

I hope ya'll don't laugh, but my simple pleasure this week is dust-free furniture. Working 8-5 leaves little time for dusting, but whenever I haul out the Pledge and do my dusty duties, I love the magical reflections left behind. Just wish the dust would flee longer than an hour. Ha!

  2. I'm soooo glad you linked up today, sis. I miss you but know you work and blogging isn't at the top of your priority list. (hehe) So, thanks for linking up. I gasped, literally, when I saw your beautiful dresser. Love the reflections and the candles. If you ask me, a dust-free anything is a terrific simple pleasure.

P.S. If you're interested in someone to clean your house each week, leaving you free to enjoy it, I have a friend who's just starting to do that, so call me. :)

  7. I'm definitely not laughing because I know exactly what you are talking about. Unfortunately, living in the desert means there is dust galore and my furniture is most often covered in a fine layer. It gets into every little nook and cranny and so hard to keep at bay. I gave up trying years ago. I'd much rather play. :) Best wishes! Tammy

  9. I think so many of us can relate to this.
Dust has become a friend of mine lately but who I want to make a stranger.
    Beautiful picture,

  10. I'm almost *positive* that my simple pleasure must be dusty furniture. It appears that way since I seem to have so much of it. Just sayin'...

Actually, I'm kidding. Here's a tip: Dust with dryer sheets. They keep it off longer.

Hope work is going well, Gayle!! I miss you but rejoice in the job with you! I start on Tuesday.

  11. I know what you mean here. I too love it when the dust has been been banished and everywhere shines. I know I've said it before but I do love your header picture! The scene looks like a little bit of heaven to me.

  12. Oh, I am with you, girl. I have been trying to make myself dust at least one shelf or one piece of furniture a day. I do love how it looks, but thankfully, it is not as important to me as it used to be when I dusted and vacuumed something every day, yes every day except Sunday.

    Your dresser looks beautiful--enjoy it!

    Love,
    Dianne
