Simple Pleasures - Candles

My cottage has candles in every corner. They set moods, and lift moods, and make magic all around.

The most delicious one is in my office. The container isn't that glorious, but what's inside will set you free. It's called "Frosted Sugar Cookie." Mmm. Mmm. MMM!

Whether I'm staring at a blank computer screen, battling the blogging blahs or writing faster than I can type, the subtle, sugary, baking-in-the-oven scent sends me to the seventh heaven every single time.

  1. Thank you for stopping by my blog. It's lovely to meet you...and to discover you are Dayle's twin sister. (I only discovered her blog last week).

I love candles too, especially the baked good scents. Only problem...sometimes my family thinks I've gotten a grand dessert in the oven, and they are disappointed to find out it's only a candle.

    Have a lovely day,

  2. I love candles - and keep them all around the house. I like certain scents for certain times of the year. One of my favorites is warm apple pie. It gives me a down home feeling.

    Blessings,
    Joan

  3. I'm another one who finds a simple pleasure in sitting in a candle scented room. My favorite is a pumpkin one that I haul out in the fall. It's getting small, and I have yet to find one just like it.

I'll be linking up tomorrow morning with my simple pleasure, too.

  4. Hello Gayle...I love scented candles, too. My favorite company is Yankee, followed by Village. Both have websites. Both are highly fragrant. I have a sugar cookie scented one, too! It's great! Susan

  5. Well, sis... you know my love for candles is equal to yours. I must try the one you mention here though. Don't think I've seen that one... and do tell where you buy them. Thanks for linking up. I love you bunches and miss you!

  6. Candles, I love them. And any candle that says "Sugar Cookie" on it has to be good. Right?

  8. I love candles, but now I normally use unscented ones since the ones with scents stir up allergies.....talk about blah, huh?

  10. Gayle,
Candles are wonderful...I have them around my home too. I usually light them in the cooler seasons of the year, though, as they give a cozy feeling to any room.
I think I would be off to the bakery if I had one that smelled like a Frosted Sugar Cookie! :)
